Movement has always been at the heart of my life, and hot yoga quickly became one of my favorite ways to recharge, challenge myself, and stay grounded. There’s something about stepping onto the mat, sweating it out, and leaving it all behind that keeps me coming back again and again.

After one summer away, I returned home eager to get back into my routine. At the time, I had always practiced with just a yoga towel as it gave me enough cushion, and I loved that I could toss it in the wash after every class. But when my studio updated its flooring, I suddenly needed a proper yoga mat.

I searched everywhere for one that was supportive, durable, and washable—and realized it didn’t exist. That gap sparked an idea, and soon a mission: to design a mat that rolled like a traditional yoga mat but washed like a towel. What followed was a thoughtful process of testing fabrics, and experimenting with textures, colors, and durability. The result became The Asset Brand: a collection of washable mats and accessories designed to move with you, class after class.

Each mat is soft to the touch, strong enough to support any practice, and—my favorite part—completely washable. I created it to solve my own need, but once I got it right, I knew it had to be shared.
